Senior journalist and author Dr. Sakhamuru Srinivasa Prasad has brought international attention to his work on Chandrababu Naidu through his book, “CBN@361°: The Polymath,” which recently received the prestigious Presidential Polymath Award. The award was presented by Maithripala Sirisena, the seventh President of Sri Lanka, at the Global Icon Awards ceremony held at Temple Trees in Colombo, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

The occasion also brought into focus the long cultural and civilisational ties shared by Sri Lanka and India. Speaking about his book and his leader, Sakhamuru said, “Sri Lanka and India share deep historical, cultural and civilisational bonds. I hope this book will also become a small bridge of understanding between Sri Lanka, India, Andhra Pradesh and the wider international community.”

For Sakhamuru, Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership carries significance beyond Indian politics. He describes Naidu as a leader capable of thinking across generations, from past millennials to tomorrow’s Gen Beta generation. According to the author, Naidu’s greatest capability is not simply his knowledge, but his ability to imagine the future and turn that imagination into an administrative agenda.

This thinking has shaped Naidu’s work around technology, economic development and opportunities for ordinary people. Long before the digital revolution became mainstream, he understood the importance of information technology and worked to position Hyderabad as a major global technology destination.

Today, Sakhamuru points to areas such as Artificial Intelligence, quantum technology, semiconductors, deep tech, green energy, drones and advanced manufacturing as fields that can shape Andhra Pradesh’s future. “Investment, innovation, technology, and human talent must come together to build a better future,” he said.

Through CBN@361°, Sakhamuru presents Naidu’s leadership through the idea of thinking globally while keeping local development in focus. His larger purpose is to place Andhra Pradesh and Telugu people prominently on the global map.

For Sakhamuru, leaders are remembered not only for the years they govern, but also for the future they inspire people to imagine. His book seeks to bring that thought to readers in India and across the world.
