From Curiosity to Calling: Pratiksha Ghodke’s Journey Into Tarot

Pratiksha Ghodke never planned to build a career around Tarot. While pursuing her Master’s degree in English Literature, her mother came across a Tarot reading video on YouTube and suggested that she watch it. She watched the video, then a few more, and by the end of the day, she knew she wanted to learn Tarot and use the skill to help people. What began with curiosity slowly became a profession and later, a business through AnkharaTarot.
Tarot appealed to Pratiksha’s creative side. Her interest in images, colours, interpretation and looking beyond what is immediately visible found a natural place in the practice. She never felt that success had to follow one conventional definition. For her, creativity needed a place in the way she built her life. Her background in English Literature eventually blended with intuition, interpretation and her desire to help people.
In the early days, one of the biggest challenges was getting people to see Tarot as an art and a genuine form of guidance. Building contacts, meeting people and finding those who connected with her work took time. Social media, exhibitions and flea markets became important in bringing her first clients. These experiences gave her feedback, confidence and a better sense of the kind of work she wanted to build.
Her work has now grown beyond traditional Tarot consultations. She works with individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses and brands through Tarot and Oracle cards. Her specialised offerings include DARPAN, which looks into deeper mental and emotional patterns and karmic themes, along with Business and Brand Alignment Tarot. She also works with Akashic Records and teaches Reiki.
For Pratiksha, Tarot is not only about answering questions. It is about self discovery, confidence, personal growth and conscious choices. Client feedback remains one of her most valued achievements, along with receiving the Women Who Win Women’s Achiever Award in the Tarot category.
Her long term vision brings together wellness, spiritual growth, creativity, writing, art and intuitive guidance. Her approach emphasises the importance of self-awareness and authenticity in crafting a fulfilling personal and professional life.
